Recycling kit
Simple tools to sort, weigh and log your household recycling.
Already have suitable containers and scales? You can use those. Buying equipment is optional, does not earn extra points, and is never required to log recycling, earn qualifying activity credits or redeem rewards.
Build your recycling kit
Choose a starting setup, then untick anything you already have. One sorting option and one suitable scale are usually enough.
Your kit: 3 item types
This is a shopping checklist, not a boxed bundle or a shared basket. Buy only what you need; each retailer handles its own checkout, delivery and returns. Check the combined delivery cost before ordering from several stores. Your selections reset when you leave this page.
Tools for weighing and sorting
Use household scales, luggage scales or parcel scales to weigh recycling before logging it in the app. These are optional tools — you do not need to purchase anything to use Recycle Rewards.

Where a retailer's availability is known it is marked UK. Delivery may be limited to the UK; if a retailer does not deliver to your country, look for an equivalent local supplier. These are starting points, not hands-on reviews — check the specification, seller and current price before buying.

Choose a scale with tare/zero, a readable display and capacity suited to your load. Weigh each material separately and log in kilograms (1,000 g = 1 kg). Weight accuracy may vary depending on the scale used, how the recycling is packed, and whether container weight has been deducted. Keep within the scale and bag load limits; do not lift heavy loads or use damaged bags.
Sort for your local collection
Label containers to match the materials your council collects. Storage bags are for organising at home: empty recycling loose into your collection container unless your council says otherwise. Check local guidance before buying liners or a new bin.
